A new massage therapist has joined our Golden family! ✨ We're so excited to be introducing Lukas Montgomery:

Lukas is an enthusiastic advocate for movement and physical expression, with a rich background in various sports, including basketball, muay thai, and arm wrestling. Growing up in New Jersey, he not only taught swim lessons but also gained valuable knowledge about body mechanics, which laid the foundation for his future endeavors.

After moving to North Carolina, Lukas began teaching pool aerobics, where he honed his ability to scale movements to accommodate clients at different ability levels. His personal journey took a challenging turn when he developed chronic neck pain from practicing muay thai. However, he worked diligently to overcome this obstacle through massage therapy and diverse movement practices.

Now, Lukas is dedicated to providing therapeutic relief and educating clients about their bodies, empowering them to understand their own movement and health. His experiences have shaped a holistic approach to wellness, making him a compassionate and knowledgeable guide for those seeking to improve their physical well-being.

You might be wondering what exactly a medical massage is and how it differs from a typical massage.

Medical massage is a targeted approach to massage therapy aimed at achieving specific therapeutic outcomes. Your massage therapist will take the time to do a thorough intake interview including a postural assessment, range of motion testing, and medical history examination. We will use this information to determine your exact needs and together establish specific treatment goals. Goals can be anywhere from pain management to increasing range of motion or just improving your mental health and wellness!

Hey, Wilmington! 👋 I’m Arielle Golden, a Licensed Massage & Body Work Therapist (LMBT) and a Medical Massage Practitioner (MMP).

I received my massage education at the Academy of Massage Therapy and Bodyworks in Pennsylvania. About a year later, I completed the MMP program in Costa Rica. Recently, I even travelled to Colorado to attend a dissection lab to take a deep dive into human anatomy. 🩻

When I’m not in the office, you’ll probably find me exploring local parks with my husband and dogs, working out (running, hiking, yoga, lifting, surfing!), getting lost in a good book, or rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles (Go Birds 🦅!). My passions include serving others, anatomy, philosophy, physical fitness, and health and wellness. I uniquely combine these passions to create a holistic approach to treating my clients.
